ROOF INSULATION · MARCIN KRAWCZYK

Roof insulation.
Homes & production halls.

We insulate roofs and waterproof flat roofs with FPO membranes or bituminous roofing felt.

01HOMES

Assembling a house roof

Mineral wool fits between the rafters. Above the ventilation gap, bituminous underlay lies on timber decking. Counterbattens and tile battens support the sample of finished roof covering.

02PRODUCTION HALLS

Assembling a hall roof

Two roof bays show alternative warm roof systems. The seams on the pale FPO bay are hot-air welded. On the dark bay a bituminous cap sheet covers a separate base sheet.

04OUR FOCUS

Building work for homes and production halls

We insulate roofs for homes and production halls in Germany. On flat roofs we install waterproofing with FPO membranes or with bituminous roofing felt.

01 /

Residential roof insulation

Insulation for residential roofs, taking the existing structure and the use of the spaces beneath it into account.

02 /

Production hall roof insulation

Insulating and waterproofing a hall roof. The deck and the condition of the existing layers help determine which waterproofing system is suitable.

Building services

Polish classification of business activities, 2025
  • PKD 43.41.Z

    Roof structures and waterproofing

We build roof frames and waterproof flat roofs with FPO membranes or bituminous roofing felt. We also fit gutters, downpipes, rooflights and access hatches.

  • PKD 43.23.Z

    Thermal and acoustic insulation

We install insulation for heat and sound control. In homes this includes insulating roof slopes from inside the loft and ceilings above heated rooms.

  • PKD 43.35.Z

    External wall cladding

We fit cladding panels to exterior walls and finish the edges and corners with matching trim.

05UNDERSTANDING INSULATION

What goes into an insulated hall roof?

The section runs from the load-bearing steel deck up to the warm roof waterproofing. The fall of the roof carries rainwater towards the gutter.

These are example roof assemblies. The project design and the installation instructions for the chosen system determine the layers, fixings and junction details.
01

Mineral wool in homes and halls

Flexible batts fit the spaces between timber rafters. Insulation boards for the hall roof have to carry the loads specified for that build-up.

02

A continuous insulation layer

Boards are fitted edge to edge. Around rooflights, edges and penetrations, the insulation is cut to fit the junction.

03

Moisture control on the warm side

In this hall roof, the vapour control layer sits below the insulation. Sealed laps and junctions limit moisture entering from the heated interior.

04

Attic floor

When the loft remains unheated, insulation can be laid at ceiling level above the heated rooms.

05

Junctions

Roof and wall insulation meet at eaves and gables. A close fit at these junctions helps limit heat loss.

GOOD TO KNOW

Three questions about roof insulation.

Which mineral wool suits my roof?

That depends on factors such as the existing roof, how the building is used and the material requirements. Mineral wool is a group of materials; the specific product is selected for the roof in question.

How thick should the insulation be?

There is no single thickness that suits every roof. The existing layers, the material’s thermal conductivity and the project requirements all matter.

Is insulation the same for homes and production halls?

The principle of reducing heat flow is similar, but the conditions can differ greatly. In halls, the building’s use, roof structure and mechanical requirements are particularly relevant.
